“Let the Games Begin” is the first release from our group now known as Portizar. It contains some of the early recording sessions which demonstrate a loose maniacal fervor. The guests for these sessions are bassist Aaron Wills (311) & sax/multi-instrumentalist Matthew DeMerritt.

As always, the core group is Michael Vest, Gregory Beylerian & John X Volaitis.

The earliest track on this album is the title track “Let the Games Begin”. This piece came from GregJam 9 and was recorded on June 20, 2013. This is also the only piece in this series that has any kind of external production.

“All In” & “Harmonicalio” come from GregJam 10 & were recorded live 2 months later on August 22, 2013.

“Liftoff” was recorded on June 4, 2015
